From Wounded to Wagging: Tyler’s Journey

Tyler, after staples and medical care
Tyler, after staples and medical care

Tyler came to us scared and in pain.

In early June, our Animal Regulation team responded to a call near South Bonnyview and Evergreen. A young adult German Shepherd mix—just under two years old—was found wandering without a collar or microchip, his face torn and bleeding. He looked confused and weary. Still, he allowed our officer to approach. He wanted to trust—he just needed someone to show him how.

Tyler was rushed to VCA Asher for immediate care. He was examined, given pain medication and antibiotics, and brought back to Haven to rest and begin recovery.

Thanks to monthly donors like you, our team was ready. There was no waiting or hesitation. Tyler got the help he needed because you made it possible.

Today, Tyler is thriving. He walks confidently on leash, enjoys the play yards, and leans in for gentle pets. He’s now fully recovered and we're thrilled to share that he was adopted into a loving family.

Tyler’s story could’ve ended differently. But because of you, it didn’t.

Our medical clinic is one of the most vital—and expensive—parts of Haven Humane. But your monthly gifts provide stability. They ensure that when an injured animal arrives, we’re ready.

Your monthly gift helps us:

• Treat animals in urgent need

• Support them through recovery

• Keep our on-site veterinary clinic running and ready

Will you continue your support, or join us as a monthly donor today? You’ll help write the next success story.

With gratitude, Mark Storrey
