Animal Regulation Officers are available to respond to calls during the following hours:
Winter Hours
7 days a week
8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Summer Hours
7 days a week
8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Animal Regulation Officers available 24/7 for emergencies only.

What is Animal Services?
Serving Redding and Anderson, Animal Officers provide care and education, while enforcing city ordinances and state animal-related laws. It is their job to keep the public safe and provide protection services for animals in the fight against cruelty.
Just last year our officers returned 366 pets home to their owners before those pets never even entered the shelter. We take pride in helping pet reunite with their families.
Officers respond to calls about:
• Stray animals • Cruelty to animals • Injured animals • Noise complaints • Dead animals in the road
Officers do not respond to calls about:
• Stray cats (unless they are sick or injured)
