All dogs that live in Shasta County are required to be properly licensed and vaccinated against rabies after the age of four months.

Licensing your dog will also help you reunite if they ever become lost.

How to get your dog license

Drop By or Submit Online

Dog licenses can be purchased at Haven Humane Society at the intake building (building B on the right). Rabies vaccines can also be purchased and administered at the same time, Monday - Thursday from 8:30-11am & 2-4pm. Credit cards and cash are accepted.

 

You an also register online using the form below. After you submit the form, an email with a link to payment will be emailed to you within 3 to 5 business days. 

You can also purchase a license at the following veterinary offices:

 

Fall River Veterinary Hospital: 43578 Highway 299 in Fall River Mills: (530) 336-5528

Burney Veterinary Hospital: 20357 Pine Street in Burney: (530) 335-3646

Licensing Clinics

Haven Humane Society also offers Licensing Clinics where rabies vaccines and microchips are also discounted.

Rabies vaccines are offered for $8 when purchasing a license at one of our licensing clinics. If your dog's rabies vaccination has not expired, please bring the certificate to obtain another license.

Microchips are $20 for dogs and cats (in carriers) at licensing clinics.

Mail-In Dog Licensing


To obtain a mail-in licensing form, click here. Please keep a copy.
 
Along with your licensing form, please mail your pets current rabies vaccination certificate, a check, your current mailing address, and phone number to the following address:

Redding, CA 96099-2202

Checks should be made payable to Haven Humane Society. Once your rabies vaccination certificate, and payment are received, a license will be mailed to you.
