Haven Humane Society is always looking for enthusiastic and qualified volunteers to assist us. Whether you prefer to work directly with animals, behind the scenes, or with the public, we have a wide range of rewarding opportunities to choose from including:
- Dog walking/socialization
- Cat socialization
- Bathing and grooming animals
- Assisting in our Spay/Neuter Clinic
- Assisting in our Kitten Nursery (seasonal)
- Assisting at outreach/fundraising events
- Other assorted daily tasks such as laundry, dishes, filing, etc.

All you need to do to get started is fill out our online volunteer application. Once you've submitted the online application, you will receive a link from our Volunteer Coordinator to complete an online assessment form and choose from several dates to take part in a Dog & Cat Body Language class. Junior Haven is for kids aged 10-18 who want to make a difference in a shelter animal’s life. Junior Haven meets every Tuesday evening from 5-7PM with our STAR Training group in Haven’s classroom to socialize and train shelter dogs. They also plan shelter enrichment projects to benefit the shelter animals. Please call the shelter at 241-1653 for more information.
