Connie Grinols, Chairperson- Connie joined the board in 2011. She is the Curriculum Chair for Leadership Redding, creator of the new non-profit board for Big Bike Weekend, member of Rotary and Soroptimist International, and board member for the Northern California Veterans Support Group.
Sally von Dachenhausen, Vice-Chairperson - Sally joined the board in late 2014. She is also a board member of U Prep Foundation and the U Prep School Board. She was a teacher for 35 years and was part of U Prep's Leadership Team helping organize events and fundraisers. Sally has volunteered for Forever Pets in Redding and Best Friends Animal Society in Utah and met Mark Storrey at the Best Friends Animals Conference in 2014. She is an active volunteer in Haven's cat area and spearheaded the addition of a new community cat socialization room.
Madeline Rippe, Secretary - Madeline joined the board in 2012 after being a long-time volunteer at Haven. She has been a Camp Love A Pet counselor for several years. Madeline is a retired teacher and has previously served on school district boards. Madeline received the Volunteer of the Year award in 2015.
Tammy Parker, Treasurer- Tammy Parker works at Redding Bank of Commerce. She joined the board in 2017. She has adopted several pets from Haven Humane and feels Haven Humane is an important part of the community. She has also served with Relay for Life and Leadership Redding and is currently serving the Women's Fund and Catherine McAuley Circle.
Josh Lowery, Director - Josh joined the board in 2012. Josh is an attorney in Shasta County. He has served on several local boards since 2008.
Dr. Kara Tennant, Director-- Dr. Tenant is a Veterinarian at CARE Animal Hospital. She joined the board in 2015.
Dr. Christina Cosh Davis, Director - Dr. Cosh owns Cosh Chiropractic Care and Wellness Center in Redding. She joined the board in 2015. She is a member of the California Chiropractic Association, International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, Women's Fund of Redding, and Redding Women's Rodeo Association. She has mentored women in business management and helped local underserved women develop employment skills to enhance their social skills and provide economic empowerment. Animal care and protection are at the forefront of Dr. Cosh's passions, which she shares with her children.
Rebecca Berg, Director - Director of Special Education. Rebecca joined the board in 2017. Her daughter has attended Camp Love A Pet several times and her husband is an experienced K9 handler and K9 trainer with RPD, so the whole family is passionate about animal welfare.
Wendell Enders, Director - Wendell has been a long-time volunteer at Haven and was pulled out of retirement to be Haven's paid Volunteer Coordinator from 2013 to 2018. Wendell is retired once again and joined the Board of Directors in 2018.
Patty Friesen, Director - Fitness Instructor. Patty is passionate about helping animals in need and is a long-time Haven supporter. Patty joined the Board of Directors in 2019.
Michelle Negethon, Director - Realtor. Michelle is a member of the Shasta Board of Realtors and California Association of Realtors. Michelle joined the board in 2019.
Lesha Schaefer, Director - Social Worker. Lesha has experience working for and fundraising for non-profit organizations. Her career in social work encompasses all aspects of services for those in need in our community. Lesha joined the board in 2019.
